NHL Deadline Recap

D Andrej Meszaros to Bruins from Philly for a third rounder. Bruins really needed depth at D after Dennis Seidenberg went out for the season with a torn ACL last year.

Montreal with the steal of the day: Thomas Vanek goes for just a prospect and a second round pick...God dammit. Islanders let him walk cheap and now Montreal gets a Bruin killer.

Marian Gaborik goes to the Kings from the Blue Jackets for Matt Frattin and a couple of picks. Paired up with Anze Kopitar, this line could be a real force.

Marty St. Louis goes to the New York Rangers for Ryan Callahan, 2015 first rounder and 2014 second rounder. Captain for captain, Tampa Bay seems to be getting screwed here as St. Louis meant a lot more to that team than Ryan Callahan did to the Rangers. Should be interesting to see him on the second line in NY with Hagelin and Richards.

Timmy Thomas goes from the bottom dwelling Florida Panthers to the Dallas Stars. This avoids controversy in Florida with Roberto Luongo signed yesterday, and adds goalie depth to Dallas and Kari Lehtonen.
